What is lab testing?

Lab testing analyzes your blood, urine, or saliva to gather information about your health and well-being.

It’s crucial to undergo lab testing at least once a year, even if you feel well. Many potentially serious problems don’t present obvious symptoms. Lab tests can alert you early on and help guide treatment.

What are the types of lab testing?

At LiveMed, the team offers several types of lab testing, including:

Diabetes testing

Diabetes testing analyzes your glycated hemoglobin (A1C) levels. If your A1C levels are 6.7% or higher on two separate blood tests, you have diabetes.

A diabetes test costs $99.00.

Comprehensive thyroid testing

Thyroid testing analyzes specific hormones in your blood, including thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), thyroxine (free T4), and triiodothyronine. If your hormone levels are abnormally high or low, it indicates a problem with your thyroid gland.

Comprehensive thyroid testing costs $99.00

Heart health test

A heart health panel costs $149.00

This test analyzes your cholesterol levels and the amount of c-reactive protein (CRP) in your blood. CRP is produced by your liver. High CRP levels indicate inflammation and, in turn, a higher risk of heart disease.

Anemia panel

The anemia panel is $149.00 and analyzes the levels of iron, ferritin, and transferrin in your blood. Without adequate iron, you may feel lightheaded or fatigued.

Wellness panel

This panel analyzes the amount of B12, folate, and vitamin D in your blood. If the levels of these vitamins are below average, the team can make recommendations to boost your energy and help you feel better.

Sexual health - men

The sexual health panel for men is $99.00 and analyzes the amount of testosterone in your blood. Most middle-aged and older men experience a decline in testosterone production because of the natural aging process.

Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test

This test analyzes the amount of prostate-specific antigen in your blood. High PSA levels may indicate an increased risk of prostate cancer.

Urinary tract infection test

A UTI test analyzes a sample of urine for the presence of bacteria. The test cost $79.00. You pee into a sterile collection cup, and the team views it under a microscope.

What type of lab testing will benefit me?

The type of lab testing that will most benefit you depends on your age and health charts. After an exam and discussing your symptoms, the LiveMed team can make custom recommendations.
